I think fujisan is the most important word because it has more than one syllable and it has a good meaning that goes along with the the haiku... Even though it will be hard for the snail to climb up the volcano...

The word fujisan is probably most important beacause it tells what the snail is doing....Fujisan is a distinct volcano..

I think fujisan is the most important word in this poem, because it tells where everything happens and what the poem is about.

The most in little snail is the name of the volcano Fujisan because it gives the reader an idea of the snails struggles to come but we also think that the phrase little snail is important because it highlights the difference between the snail and the volcano it will soon be climbing.

Hulk Acorns Response:
strong words are: snail, climb, Fujisan
This haiku is almost like the "little engine that could" story. Issa is trying to give the slow and steady snail confidence that he can climb the tallest mountain in Japan.

In "The Little Snail" the author uses a certain tone and words that makes us think that the snail is climbing slowly with perseverance but he's just climbing to his death. An important word to us was Fujisan which is a volcano and it's kind of ironic for a snail to climb a volcano so there must be a second meaning. For example in the religion Hinduism they believe that we are reincarnated so the snail might be wanting a new life and that's why he's so intent on climbing the volcanoe.

The word choice can show emotion because it can set the tone or make the setting in the Haiku.

We believe Fujisan is the most important word in this poem because it tells where the poem is and how difficult the snail's journey will be.

The snail poem is important because snails are tipically slow and fujisan is a very big mountain, it shows the snail not to give up and keep doing it!

I think you have to choose your words very wisely! Since you can only have so many this also makes the words you choose have more of an impact and causes you to think more on the subject.

The tone that is used to illicit more emotion makes it seem like the little snail is in some sort of desperation or in trouble and trying to hurry to get away..like :climb up fujisan!"

Purpinkorblu thinks that the most important words in this poem are snail and "my little man". This poem
implies that even the smallest, slowest thing can reach its goals if it sets its mind to it.

The sail is characterized as a little man climbing mount fuji. The words "Little man" and "Fujisan" seem important to understanding the meaning of the haiku.
