Today, my students will be watching the video "Ordinary People Doing Extraordinary Things" from You Tube (Shout out: you can watch any you tube video you want if, at home, you use keepvid.com to download it to your computer or flashdrive. Then you can take it with you wherever you want.) After watching this video, my adorable little softies, whom I enjoy so much, are going to create either a wordle or acapela.tv message about one of the people on this video. I will strongly invite them to post their work on this site, so anyone interested can see what they learned about one of the people named from the "Ordinary People Doing Extraordinary Things".

Michael Jordan: He was a professional basketball player, olympic athlete, business person, and actor. He was an ordinary guy. He has become to do extraordinary things.
Michael Jordan always had a competitive problem. He always wanted to be better than himself. He didn't make his high school basketball team. He went to the university of South Carolina in 1981. When he became a member of the basketball team, his team won the NCAA in 1982. He won gold at the olympics in 1984. He left college when he was only a Junior to join the NBA. He was Drafted by the Chicago Bulls. Jordan was known for his power and agility on the court.

Helen Keller – Teacher Example

We chose Chuck Yeager because he always tried to prove people wrong. He wanted to show everybody that nothing was impossible.
After being born in Myra, West Virginia he enlisted in the military to fight in World War II. While in combat against Germans over France his plane was shot done and was able to survive. He then soon returned to America where he became a test pilot at Edwards Air force base in California.
During his time as a test pilot he broke many records thought to be impossible, and on August 14, 1947 he became the first pilot to break the sound barrier.

Thomas Edison, a famous inventor, who created many useful devices that enhance our everyday lives. He started as young as ten when he built his first laboratory in his basement. He was also the first to set up the world's first electric light power station. In 1879 he invented the first incandescent light bulb. To add to his income he would sell newspapers and vegetables. He even saved a 3 year old kid from being hit by a train. he is a perfect example of an ordinary person doing extraordinary things.

Andrew and I decided on Albert Einstein because we believe that he was one of the smartest people in human history. Einstein was a physicist and mathematician he developed many theories and worked in a university where he helped develop the nuclear bomb. He won the Nobel Prize in PHysics in 1921 He changed life and how people think all over the world he gave people the idea of Knowledge can set you free.

J.K. Rowling was a one of two daughters. Her parents met at Kings-Cross Train Station in Scotland. Her n her sister played many pranks and games using magic when she was younger. When she got older, her, and her family moved to a neighborhood where two of the children's surnames was Potter. While she was in school, she wrote the first two Harry Potter books. When she got older, her mother got very sick and died. Then her n her boyfriend ran off and got married. She never has turned in the books to be printed. A few years down the road, she got a terrible devorice and was poverty stricken. She resorted back to writing and turned her books in this time. She became very rich. She was a poverty stricken person who was in charge of taking care of children and she became rich doing something she loves.

Michael had come from a ordinary home his mom worked at a bank and his dad worked as a electric plant supervisor, his dad had been the one who taught him to never give up. He went on to play for North Carolina and as a freshmen won the NCAA National Championship and was the ACC player of the year. In 1984 2 years after his freshmen year played basketball in the olympics and won a gold metal.

Now a world famous race car driver she has opportunities in modeling and commercials.
